Current Work

Charcoal, pastel, woodblock, and acrylic are used to explore the connection between line, shapes, colors and movement. The landscapes start with a pastel sketch drawn outdoors, which then becomes the reference for the acrylic paintings. The floral and still life pictures are from observation and often begin wi th a light graphite or charcoal under drawing and are then worked over with pastel.
